Managing Consultant: Peter Tichbon

Peter has over 15 years senior and board level experience in FMCG in a variety of functions from operations and logistics to sales, business transformation, post merger integration and General Management. Results driven, he enjoys working in challenging situations where he needs to hit the ground running and rapidly deliver significant improvement, particularly in underperforming businesses.

Peter began his management career over 20 years ago with 10 years in one of the worlds largest branded Blue Chip FMCG companies, moving to a significant role in the UK's second largest privately owned company before onwards to further top UK brands and private equity SMEs, most recently leading the turnaround of a water treatment, service and compliance business for an AIM listed leader of specialist services. Along the way he worked in everything from engineering, operations and logistics, with senior roles in sales and transformation as well as Interim CEO and MD roles.

The variety of his career as well as board level business transformation experience means that he can take a holistic whole company view of a business and it's needs, developing strategies to deliver business wide improvements through growing the top line, reducing costs, driving operational efficiency, optimising distribution and driving innovation, whilst at the same time ensuring critical success factors such as Health and Safety, People and Quality remain a key focus.

With his expertise in delivering both cultural and business change, in 2011 Peter's delivery of "Project Athena" at Allied Bakeries was recognised in becoming a finalist for both The Grocer Gold Award for Business Transformation and the IGD Business Transformation of The Year: in the same year Allied Bakeries were also winners of HIM! Fresh Supplier of the Year as a result of one of the workstreams. In 2015, Peter led Edme Food Ingredients in winning the EADT Award for Food and Farming Excellence, and Edme was awarded third place for the overall EADT Business of the Year.

Peter has been a governor at two schools, coaches a youth football team and regularly speaks in schools to promote vocational learning through the government supported Inspiring the Future programme.

Peter is also Member of the Advisory Board – Consumer Manufacturing Practice at Interim Partners.  Founded in 2003, Interim Partners have pioneered an industry and grown to be one of the leading global players within Interim Management.  www.interimpartners.com
